Year´s Graduation Party

Hello everybody!

In this month we have to celebrate Mother´s Day.

Mother´s Day

In case you don´t know it, people don´t celebrate this Day on the same moment along the year (even we celebrate it in the same week but no the same day, our real Mum´s Day is, first Sunday of May) but all cultures all over the world have realised we should show feelings to this relationship and maybe a present is a good way to demonstrate our love to our mums.

We have made a keyring using cork. Yo can see an example below:

Hello everybody!

Book and Author Day

It is said that books can be our best friends and it is true. Books transport us to new worlds, help us to reflect, to improve our knowledge, make us dream, imagine and discover. For this reason and many others, reading is very useful in our life.

UNESCO has chosen 23th of April to celebrate Book and Author Day, but do you know why they choose this day? Becasuse Garcilaso de la Vega, Cervantes and Shakespeare is death.

There are differents forms to celebrate this day, for example in Catalonia, is celebrated San Jordi´s Day and there are books and roses exchanges.

Consequently, we have pretended to share you what we have done in order to celebrate this day.

We have played a game called Library Bingo, using a traditional story-telling called Red Little Riding Hood.

This game consists on giving cardboards which need to be complete with nine words those participants have to write. They must come from the tale chosen (and known for all of us). We start reading the tale so slowly and by the time the boy or girl has his or her own nine words crossed he or she sais Bingo!. Then we stop reading and we check.

Hello everybody

How are you? 

I hope you are great. 

In the post of today, we bring you an idea to work with our students on Father's Day. 

The first idea is to make a shirt marker to books. We would be done through origami. Then we leave a video explaining how it is done and the image with the finished marker.

FEBRUARY

Hello everybody!


At this month we have prepared to our students special activities related with the "Andalucía Day".

The first of the activities that we are going to do is to explain them the provinces and show to them in the map. Then, they are going to draw in groups the eight provinces of Andalucía and after that, they are going to join them together.

After that, we are going to show to the students important monuments of each of the provinces and then, the students have to put them on the map.

Then, we are going to have a typical andalucian breakfast: toast with oil and sugar and orange juice.

Finally, we are going to see a flamenco show.

JANUARY

Hello everybody!

Because of the Christmas end, we are going to prepare to our students a funny activity.

We have to send to the students´ parents a email to inform them about class activity.

The students have to brought to the school the presents that the Three Wise Men have given to them.
Then, all of the students give their presents to the teacher. The teacher gets the presents mixed up amid them.

The students have to describe their presents one by one and, the other have to guess which present belongs to their classmates.

After that, the students have to draw their presents and, finally they play together with all of the presents.
